As the Supply Chain Labor and Human Rights Manager within Apple’s Environment and Supply Chain Innovation Team, you’ll help develop and lead our team and strategy for Labor and Human Rights (LHR) procedures, programs, and strategic partnerships. Leveraging your deep expertise in international LHR frameworks and your extensive supply chain LHR experience across the Asia-Pacific region, you’ll champion initiatives that set industry standards, safeguard the rights of millions of workers across our supply chain, and influence our global operations.
Description
As the Manager for Labor and Human Rights, you will:
Shape and drive a bold strategic vision for Apple’s supply chain labor and human rights initiatives, with deep alignment to environmental strategies, ensuring alignment with international standards and integration across Apple’s supply chain management systems.
Lead and lead a world-class team of labor and human rights experts, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
Collaborate proactively across Apple teams to identify risks, uncover gaps, and implement comprehensive solutions that measurably strengthen worker protections.
Identify, test, and scale innovative worker programs that amplify worker voice and directly inform improvements in supplier practices, grievance systems, and working conditions.
Deploy advanced monitoring and evaluation systems, leveraging predictive analytics and program KPIs to anticipate, identify, and mitigate LHR risks and evaluate LHR program effectiveness.
Cultivate influential global partnerships with key NGOs, industry coalitions and multi-stakeholder initiatives, driving continuous improvements in global labor and human rights policies and programs.
Partner closely on communications to craft clear, compelling narratives showcasing Apple’s LHR strategy, challenges, and achievements.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors' degree
- 15+ years of experience leading global supply chain Labor & Human Rights programs in a business setting with significant responsibility in the United States, Asia-Pacific, and other regions.
- 5+ years of management experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing global teams, fostering professional growth and operational excellence, including with deep subject matter experts.
- Proven track record in fiscal planning, and budget and program management.
- Exceptional cross-functional collaborator with extensive experience designing and deploying large-scale, impactful LHR programs in complex multinational supply chains.
- Demonstrable ability to drive Code of Conduct standards in a global supply chain, partnering closely with compliance/supplier performance/supplier development teams.
- Working knowledge of key environmental supply chain initiatives, such as renewable energy, water stewardship, and materials sourcing, viewed through a human rights lens.
- Understanding of key business functions including auditing, operations, procurement, global supply management, legal, trade compliance, and external communications.
- Deep expertise in international LHR standards, including ILO conventions, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs), relevant OECD frameworks, industry and multi-stakeholder initiatives, and emerging regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency with monitoring and evaluation methodologies, predictive analytics, data-driven risk management, and continuous improvement frameworks.
- Hands-on experience selecting and managing LHR service providers in the Asia-Pacific region, conducting detailed Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs), identifying vulnerabilities, and operationalizing solutions that measurably enhance worker outcomes.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in rights-holder engagement, establishing and managing supplier grievance mechanisms, and implementing targeted remediation systems.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with a proven record of engaging diverse stakeholders and representing LHR positions in industry and expert forums.
- Fluency in current and emerging technologies, as they relate to improving the operation of global supply chain programs
